Self-Care as a Sacred Practice
Taking time for yourself will not only make you feel better,
but your family will be happier for it! ~Kathy Cobb
Let’s face it, women today are incredibly busy. Whether it's managing careers, pursuing education, volunteering, engaging in creative hobbies, or maintaining social and family commitments, we're constantly on the move. With everything that’s happening in our world, we often end up being the last ones to find the much-needed time to attend to our own needs.
Bottom line – if we're not healthy, it impacts our entire circle, leading to a major breakdown in our ability to care for others and ourselves. So, what’s a woman to do?
- Get a checkup to make sure your everything is running smoothly.
- Be honest with your doctor. If you are tired say so. You may have a vitamin deficiency, low iron or low blood sugar.
- If you are on medication, make sure you take it.
- Try to get a good night’s sleep
- Eat your fruit, vegetables, and protein.
- Always take time out for yourself!
