Congratulations to Neill Morgan from Maryland for building a beautiful dreadnought guitar with me this past week. Neill wanted a big guitar with a big, loud voice and that is what he got!  The back and sides are Madagascar rosewood and the soundboard is Italian spruce that had been sonically tested and measured by Simone of Wood N Tones in Italy.  The fretboard and bridge are ebony and the bindings are flame maple. Neill built this guitar with me in my shop in only 6 days! Check out the video below to hear how it sounds right after getting strings. Oh, for you folks that like numbers and frequencies,  the box resonance was 90hz. The top was 163hz and the back was 216hz.
Not only did Neill build the guitar, he also wrote a song about his experience. Check out the video below.

Schedule your class and come build your guitar with me. If you can't come build with me in my shop personally then check out my my  6 Day Acoustic Guitar Building Course. It covers exactly what we do in the class. See the sample lessons video below.

If you haven't heard, the Official O'Brien Guitars Signature Brazilian Coffee Blend is now available at the Acoustic Coffee Company. This is the same coffee served to my students during my 6 Day classes here in my shop. It has been approved by the Girl From Ipanema and is now available for you to enjoy in your shop. O'Brien Guitars makes no money from the sale. However, one dollar of every bag purchased goes to plant a tree and help with the reforestation efforts in Central and South America.

If you are interested in learning to build guitars or just want
to see how I build my guitars then schedule a class with me.
If you are in need of a concert quality classical or steel string
guitar then let me know as I would love to build a guitar for you.

Thank you,
