I usually try to send a newsletter every week, but I delayed on it until I had further updates regarding VHSL. Meanwhile… PROPERTY RITES is going to be AMAZING! NYC Theatre Trip

Dear All,

I am so excited to have you all on board with this upcoming exciting theatre trip experience!

Below you will find the installment timelines for payments just to keep everyone in the loop.

From what I have seen on the worldstrides website, nearly EVERYONE is up to date!

WAITING LIST:

Several students are on a waiting list because we exceeded our goal of 50 students attending the trip. If there are participants on the trip that find that they are unable to attend, please let me know directly so that I can provide the students on the waitlist, the very next opportunity.

REMINDER:

Your final payment due date is November 13th. Everyone should be paid in full or set up on a payment plan by that date to avoid being cancelled from the trip
I will be working with the students to create a hotel rooming list by November 3rd!
If students are unfamiliar with who is attending, the trip, I have emailed parents of attendees so we can hope to create an email chain /group chat that will make this easier to set up.

IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE

Due to unforeseen matters beyond my paygrade, our performance date has changed to November 4 hosted at Liberty Bealeton High School.

First let me just say that I am positively thrilled with all of the work the students are putting into this beautiful production! It will be a fabulous and powerful sophisticated work.

However, this recent change and impact that it will have on the readiness as well as stress levels of students involved in both one-act productions will be felt, and I am very sorry that they have to cram in rehearsals at a faster rate.

Here is the timeline that will become our NEW tech week --- and this is in immediate response to the limited rehearsal schedule.

The SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and features a book by Kyle Jarrow, with original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics are by Jonathan Coulton, with additional music by Tom Kitt. The musical production was conceived by Tina Landau.

TECH WEEK

DURING TECH WEEK, WE ARE FOCUSSING ON PROPERTY RITES BUT AS YOU CAN SEE ABOVE, AND BASED ON THE URGENCY OF GETTING SET FINISHED FOR 33 VARIATIONS, WE DO NEED TO PLAN ACCORDINGLY ¨

Tech students are expected to lead the projects from within the class.

Crew assigned techies attending conferences VTA OR VHSL are expected to attend all rehearsals guarantee their slot

All students are welcome to join Improv at 8AM bright and early every Friday Morning! Welcome to the helm, leaders Meade Evans, and Luke Voelmle! The participants this year can expect to take part in competitions, evening Improv nights, and more!

WE ARE EXCITED TO HAVE ACQUIRED 8 BRAND NEW PANASONIC 4K LUMEX CAMERAS FOR ALL TO USE IN C’VILLE PLAYERS AND VHSL FILM!

This year, we after a 14 year hiatus, a LIVE TV show has returned to CHS, and it is run by TheatreCHS! Come help out and assist with our new streamed TV show which airs every morning before school @9:05AM!
