The League of Women Voters of Roselle-Bloomingdale observes a milestone anniversary and we're inviting you to join us in one week for our 'Decade of Impact' Celebration on October 27!
Date: IN ONE WEEK - Friday, October 27

Location: Bloomingdale Golf Club, 181N Glen Ellyn Road, Bloomingdale

We're so excited to share that we are honoring some folks at the celebration for their tremendous leadership in our League in the past 10 years.
Our first ever FOUNDERS AWARD will be presented to Roberta Borrino who started this League because somebody told her 'no' that she couldn't host a candidate forum. Then, so many others - Karen Aho, Lisa Basso, Patty Burns, Barbara Hochstadt, Diana Hoke, Michele O’Neill, Lisa Fonseca-Mlodoch, Sue Gransee (in memoriam), Siri Hansen, Linda McDermott, Marge O’Connor, Jill Sagi, Gayle Smolinski & Glenn Spachman - joined her in forming our League and they will all be recognized too!
We are presenting a GUIDING STAR MISSION AWARD to the League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn, for their tremendous support when our League was formed. Special mentors and LWVGE members, both past and present, will be honored for always being there to answer our many calls ten years ago and for setting our League on the right path forward!
Finally, we will honor Mike Murray with the COMMUNITY VISIONARY AWARD for his tireless efforts with 708 Mental Health Boards. First, in arranging a Mental Health Board League study to determine the viability of a mental health board in Northern DuPage County. Other wonderful LWVRB League members will be recognized, along with Mike, for the signature drive to get the referendum vote for mental health boards onto the ballot. All of this work eventually led to formation of the Bloomingdale Township Mental Health Board. Mike continues his advocacy in helping so many other 708 boards get established.
Other highlights include:
- Keynote Speaker, Ralph Martire, on the topic of 'Bipartisanship & Working Across The Aisle'
- messages from community leaders
- a full dinner (chartuterie, multiple entrees & sides, dessert) + one drink ticket
- a special video honoring a decade of impact
- a gift as a 'thank you' for celebrating with us
- a few other surprises too!
