Spooky Season?

It's Halloween Time!

What’s on your annual must-do immersive Halloween list?

For us, there are two classics that always make our can’t wait spooky-season plans: The 13th Floor and itchy.o.

The 13th Floor haunt is an easy one. This sprawling complex offers seemingly endless scares and spectacle and has earned itself a national reputation. Itchy.o’s annual Hallowmass bacchanal brings art, music, the esoteric and a throbbing communal catharsis that should not be missed.

What both of these Denver institutions have in common is that they have stood the test of time, show the power of immersive and celebrate the season in a way that always delights. So while Denver is packed to the brim with Halloween treats, it’s always worth to stop and pay some respect to some of our long standing immersive pillars.

Mystery beckons—will you heed the call?

Both a sanctuary for the Radical-Avant community and a journey into healing, through rites of reflection, adoration, and dissolution, building to a percussive blast of cathartic bombast. Hallowmass transcends the ordinary; it is a meeting of souls beyond the material plane. The Haunting of Your House: A Practical Guide for How to Survive After You’ve Died

PRESENTED BY Audacious Immersive

The newly deceased have much to learn — even with eternity ahead of them. In October the veil grows thin, offering ghosts the perfect opportunity to cross over…

And Audacious Theatre is ready to greet them on the other side with a spectacularly ethereal immersive experience called “The Haunting of Your House: A Practical Guide for How to Survive After You’ve Died.”

Ghosts who join in this postmortem adventure will have the time of their afterlives as they undertake five curated lessons which cover crucial haunting skills such as possession, communication with the living, apparition, and ectoplasm creation! Psychopomps guide their haunters-in-training through the crack between death and the afterlife as each soul discovers who they were, how they died, and what sort of unfinished business they have.

This year, the Audacious Collaborative has created an altered reality teeming with multi-sensory activities that evoke modern and classic tropes about death, the afterlife, and what it means to accept the inevitable end.

When: Oct 13th - Oct 29th, various times.

Mother
In this one one-on-one experience, you spend a 30-minute car ride taking your “mother” to visit her friend Janet. Along the way, she gives you driving directions, comments on your driving skills, tells you stories of when you were little and how much you have disappointed her. And don’t try to correct her. This is her trip and you are taking her where she wants to go and listening to it all. The perfect Halloween fright.
