IMPORTANT INFO BEFORE REGISTERING: please read carefully
Participants: This workshop is open to the public for guests ages 13 and up. We are catering to communities of color, LGBTQ+ and femmes by providing a brave & safe space for us that encourages lyrical writing and collaboration in a judgment-free zone.
Structure: These classes follow a "drop-in" curriculum. Each session covers a different theme so you will get an equal learning opportunity each time and don't have to attend them back to back to stay on track.
However, a short lesson in music theory basics is included only in the first class on Sat Oct 28. Please select that date if you are interested!
Location: Cultural Center in Downtown Greensboro, NC
200 N Davie St, Greensboro, NC 27401
Room: GROW Space on 2nd Floor - first room on your left when you enter via main entrance off of N. Davie Street
Open House Hours: All are welcome to meet with me during open house hours (see below). You will have the opportunity to ask questions, get extra help and jam out with us.
What to Bring: Your beautiful self, equipped with courage, curiosity and kindness. And don't forget your emotional support notebook and pen! Extra notebooks, writing utensils and bottled water will be available if you need them!
Workshop Capacity: 15 guests per session
Need a Rehearsal or Meeting Space? I will be offering this space to any artists who need it for a nominal fee. Ways it can be used: meetings, rehearsals, classes and studio for videos and photoshoots. You can only reserve it for the hours the Cultural Center is open (Mon-Fri: 8am-10pm / Sat: 9am-6pm / Sun: 1pm-6pm). SunQueen GROW Residency Dates: From Oct 24 - Dec 17.
