Dear LHS Families,
As members of the Laurel Hall School community, we are committed to being a community of kindness – a place where people truly care about each other, with no place for vitriol and hatred. An important aspect of being part of our community is that together we grieve with those who are grieving and comfort those in need of comfort.
Laurel Hall School embraces inclusion, diversity, and respect for all religions, cultures, ethnicities, and races. We stand in solidarity with the United States and other nations in renouncing the attacks on Israel.
As much as we all are impacted to some degree by any violence that happens here or around the world, I know that there are children and families in our community who are personally and deeply suffering and traumatized by these recent events. We want to reach out and provide resources to our families to assist in supporting our students during these challenging times.
Parents, I encourage you to share any concerns or worries with your child’s teacher or an administrator. If the school knows that your child has been particularly affected, we’ll be able to keep a closer eye out and provide support and care as needed.
Let’s continue to stand together in unity and pray for peace.
Sincerely,
Lorraine Trollinger, ED.D.
Interim Principal

- Membership Elevates Us - In difficult seasons, our hearts and minds are showered with blessings, favor and breakthroughs.
- Membership Teaches Us - How to pray, forgive, heal, serve, and become a generous giver.
- Membership Energizes Us - God's prolific presence, power, promises and provision are all-inclusive.

The Emmanuel Lutheran Foundation is now accepting applications for the Fall Grant Program. "We are pleased to announce that we have grant funds available again this year to help fund church and school program projects”, says Luke Schaeffer, Foundation Chairperson. “This is an exciting time of the year as we come back to campus and are energized with new ideas. We know there will be many worthy applications to consider. We look forward to announcing the recipients in November.” Grants must serve the programs of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Laurel Hall School and Preschool. The purpose of the grants is for new grass roots projects or improvements that are outside of the annual operating budget. Please download an application, or pick one up in the church office, and contact a senior staff member for support. All applications must be submitted by Friday, October 20th.
The Emmanuel Lutheran Foundation grows through generous gifts which are prudently invested and prayerfully dispersed to support the ministries of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. A gift to the foundation is truly “THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING.”
