Announcements |
| Learn to make publication quality graphics using BioRender, a free program that aims to simplify the process of making complicated science figures. The interactive webinar will include instruction, hands-on training with the software, and a chance to share graphics created during the webinar with peers. FCE LTER graduate student Joshua Helgoe, who has spent hundreds of hours using BioRender, leads the webinar.
When: Thursday, November 16th from 4-6 pm EDT/1-3 pm PDT.

LTER Arts and Humanities Virtual Get-Together | The LTER arts and humanities working group will host a virtual get-together on November 29, 2023 (3 pm EST) for those interested in advancing arts-humanities work within their sites and across the network. This is the first in a series of virtual meetings geared toward community building and resource sharing.

EPA Living Shorelines workshop | FCE LTER collaborator Randall Parkinson presents a new living shoreline site suitability tool in an hour-long webinar to the LTER. The tool improves on other methods by incorporating future scenarios into its analysis.

Lucy Huytra of the Harvard Forest LTER was named a MacArthur Fellow for her work investigating the impacts of urbanization on environmental carbon cycle dynamics. Congratulations, and well deserved!
