As the calendar turns another page, we welcome the first day of November . OLLI Emory continues to offer opportunities for our vibrant community of lifelong learners. Don’t forget – our highly anticipated Fall Fiesta Party on November 17th! This is a gathering that promises to be a splendid celebration of friendship, learning, and fun, and we're urging all our members to join in on the festivities. We always try to have an end of the year celebration, and this is it!

The Fall Fiesta Party promises an array of delightful experiences, from engaging conversations with fellow members to captivating activities that will warm your heart and mind. But here's the catch –
the last day to register for this splendid event is fast approaching! Don't miss out on the festivities; you must register to attend. The deadline to secure your spot is THIS Friday, November 3rd.  We will be ordering food, printing name badges, and gathering prizes to give away. Register here.

Emory Medical Students Present: 
A Day in the Life of a Medical Student - Pre-Medical School and Medical Student Journey in 2023

Join this year's first year medical students as they share their journey. This presentation is part of their Community Learning course. In this presentation, we'll offer a brief overview of the path leading to medical school, including gap years and the application process. We'll then delve into the structure of Emory School of Medicine's curriculum, discussing clinical exposure, technology-driven learning, and the daily life of medical students. Finally, we'll cover the application process for medical residencies and post-medical school life. Our aim is to provide insights into the 2023 medical student experience, valuable to both newcomers and healthcare professionals keen on the evolving landscape of medical education. Free to Members.

Lunch and Learn, December 13th, 11AM-2PM
Pack your imaginary suitcase and join us for a fun-filled trip down memory lane, via a one-day Inaugural OLLI lunch & learn “mini” TV show fest of our course: Thoughtful lessons for today found in our childhood lessons of yesterday! Through the vintage, historical television archives of “KUKLA, FRAN and OLLIE” and Mr. Rogers (never viewed in theaters!), as well as lively, upbeat discussion facilitated by long-time OLLI instructors, Abby Drue and Dr. Irma Starr, we will take a closer look at those childhood messages that are still with us and how they impact us today. A delicious lunch (with lotsa laughter on the side!) will be served for this special OLLI event!
