The event will feature renowed translators Jessica Powell and Suzanne Jill Levine in conversation with SBPL Spanish Outreach Coordinator Catalina Morancey for a discussion on translation, interpretation, and the cultural, emotional, and historical perspectives needed to translate a work of historical fiction.
The Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation will be hosting the reception as part of this event to thank donors for their support of SB Reads.
