2024 Health Plan—Pre-Certification Changes

Along with the What's New for 2024, the following benefit services will no longer require pre-certification:
  1. Out-Patient Therapy Services (Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy)
  2. Home Health Care and Hospice Services in the home
  3. Dialysis Services
The pre-certification requirement has been removed to help members get proper care more efficiently.

These updates are reflected in the 2024 Schedule of Benefits. More information will be available in the 2024 Summary Plan Document. Important plan documents can be found on Plan Documents – Ascend to Wholeness.

Calling On All Champions!

During the Risk Management Conference in Ft. Myers, Florida, Virgin Pulse conducted a demonstration of what a wellness champion can do on their platform. To summarize, a wellness champion can:
  • Create Challenges (Step, Health Habit, and Destination) for their employee population
  • Create Announcement cards
  • Create Calendar events
If you, or someone you know, would like to be a wellness champion, please email us at Benefits@adventistrisk.org. We will present a working and introductory session in the first quarter of 2024.

Shout-out!

Atlantic Gateway Communications (WGTS 91.9) is running a destination step challenge for their population during the month of November. We can help you set them up! Or join the wellness champion team so you can create one at your own pace.

Question:

Can I still request the bswift username format report that was offered in the beginning of open enrollment?

Answer:

Yes! You can submit a request to us by emailing benefits@adventistrisk.org. The employee username will be updated to follow the sequence: employer six-digit number, first three letters of the first name, and first three letters of the last name.

There will be very limited fallouts due to:
  • Incorrect SSN
  • Mismatched salary and time status
  • Duplicate username found
These accounts will need to be handled individually.
