LIVER DAY
This month we celebrate our second annual Liver Health Day! Our team participated in the binational health fair at the Mexican Consulate in Tucson, offering free liver scans and other health resources to our community. This initiative allowed us to effectively raise awareness about the importance of liver health.
¡Este mes celebramos nuestro segundo Día anual de la salud del hígado! Nuestro equipo participó en la feria binacional de salud en el Consulado de México en Tucson, ofreciendo escáneres de hígado y otros recursos de salud gratuitos a nuestra comunidad. Esta iniciativa nos permitió generar conciencia de manera efectiva sobre la importancia de la salud del hígado.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH & ENGAGEMENT
We continued our community outreach and engagement efforts for our Liver Study in Southern Arizona. This month the Nosotros team had the opportunity to attend different locations/events including the Mexican Consulate in Tucson, Consulate in Nogales, and Menlo Family Resource Center, where we offered our community free liver scans and provided other health resources.
Continuamos nuestras visitas de alcance comunitario para nuestro estudio del hígado en el sur de Arizona. Este mes, el equipo de Nosotros tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a diferentes lugares/eventos, incluido el Consulado de México en Tucson, Consulado de Nogales, y Menlo centro de recursos familiares, donde ofrecimos a nuestra comunidad escaneos de hígado gratis y brindamos otros recursos de salud.
Tanque Verde Swap Meet
We are happy to continue working with our Tanque Verde Swap Meet community. We provided our community with free liver scans and other health resources. This year we close with 477 scans!

Do you know what Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is? NAFLD is not related to alcohol consumption. Some of the risk factors include obesity, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. Most people have no symptoms!
