Happy Late October! I can’t believe the marking period is almost over!

We have been so busy! Building two sets, filming short films, blocking Cabaret, Tech Weeking, having Improv nights! It is a wonderful and amazing time. I honestly can’t believe how amazing these kids are.

We depart this Thursday morning for the Conference!

35 students will be participating in workshops led by Broadway stars, industry professionals, and nearly 30 neighboring and national college and university organizations.

Dear All,

I am so excited to have you all on board with this upcoming exciting theatre trip experience!

Below you will find the installment timelines for payments just to keep everyone in the loop.

From what I have seen on the worldstrides website, nearly EVERYONE is up to date!

WAITING LIST:

Several students are on a waiting list because we exceeded our goal of 50 students attending the trip. If there are participants on the trip that find that they are unable to attend, please let me know directly so that I can provide the students on the waitlist, the very next opportunity.

REMINDER:

Your final payment due date is November 13th.
Everyone should be paid in full or set up on a payment plan by that date to avoid being cancelled from the trip
I will be working with the students to create a hotel rooming list by November 3rd!
If students are unfamiliar with who is attending, the trip, I have emailed parents of attendees so we can hope to create an email chain /group chat that will make this easier to set up.

IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE

Due to unforeseen matters beyond my paygrade, our performance date has changed to November 4 hosted at Liberty Bealeton High School.

First let me just say that I am positively thrilled with all of the work the students are putting into this beautiful production! It will be a fabulous and powerful sophisticated work.

However, this recent change and impact that it will have on the readiness as well as stress levels of students involved in both one-act productions will be felt, and I am very sorry that they have to cram in rehearsals at a faster rate.

Here is the timeline that will become our NEW tech week --- and this is in immediate response to the limited rehearsal schedule.

NYTE National Youth Theatre Experience

NYTE Interest form

National Youth Theater Experience- March 9-10 in Louisville KY. We will leave on Friday, March 8 and return on Monday, March 11th. Students will miss two school days, but this is an approved school field trip. We will take 20 minutes of a musical and students may also choose to do a monologue or a solo. The approx. trip cost is $500-600. We will have fundraisers to raise the money if needed. We will also need some adult chaperones. The cost for adults is $350 appox. . The cost includes: festival fee, hotel for three nights and transportation.
