YEAR 2023

EDITION 45
BESTE SPONSOR,
First of all, we would like to start this letter with great news!

AWESOME GREAT GREAT!!! We are so grateful that our request for help was answered! A while ago we asked for help with the payment of the upcoming school costs for secondary education. We have reached our target amount for 2024! We are so grateful to you all for the wonderful donations we have received!

The participants of Boerderij de Toekomst in particular have helped us enormously with this. They carry out work for companies. The companies give us a donation for the work carried out. De Koff B.V. has donated €2,000 and the LSA Lawyers Association has donated €500.

THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us!!! Asante Sana & God bless you!
Holiday
Time flies! It's already November. This means that all of our boys are enjoying their big vacation for the next two months. The schools have closed and the final exams have been taken. Now we are waiting for the results of our graduation candidates.
This vacation is all about information sessions, activities, working at our compound, family visits, home schooling, socializing, Christmas and if it is up to our boys.... lots of chilling.
Visits and donations
We have had a busy period. In August we had a visit from Richard and Irene Bos. They came to help organize the donation from Foundation World Wide for Children. Thanks to this donation, we were able to install a new fence with concrete posts around the new part of our land. We also received shade cloths for the vegetable garden. These will be installed as soon as the small rainy season is over. It's a great donation! It was hard work for the boys, but through goodteamwork, it all worked out and the fencing looks beautiful.
Richard and Irene had also raised money through acquaintances, friends and family. As a result, we were able to add two new members to the BeHoCa family: two cute little pigs. They are very mischievous and love to be scratched. They seized the ducks' house, so this vacation the pig pen will be made. We also received various groceries, donations, clothing, a beach day and a delicious BBQ. Thank you for your help and fun, busy and wonderful weeks. We enjoyed your visit and we are incredibly grateful to Worldwide Foundation for Children, Richard, Irene, family and all their friends and acquaintances for their help. ASANTE SANA and God bless you.
Animal family
In addition to two pigs, we also have a baby boom of ducks. We have welcomed 20 new ducks. In addition, Silvester bought two new rabbits, Dora and mr. Rabbit. His smile could not be bigger! Together with the boys we made a nice new hutch for the rabbits. Dora is pregnant and Silvester can't wait for the little ones to arrive.
Scouting
Our boys participated in extracurricular activities a lot. Especially scouting outings. Silvester is the commander of the scout club at his school and on the closing day of school he had to open the ceremony. Jack, who is also a scout, had to raise the flag after which the national anthem was sung. I felt super proud to see my boys there so officially engaged.
Uncle for a day
We are teaching the boys more responsibility. This is not always easy (adolescents...), but necessary. Every day one of the boys helps out as Uncle. Managing the boys is not easy, but very good that they are in our shoes for a day. The next morning we reflect, give feedback and appoint the new uncle. Said Mohamed we would hire as Uncle. He is doing a super good job! Juma, on the other hand, is a big comedian ;)
Intern
After a long turbulent time (Covid etc.) we have finally welcomed back an intern from the Netherlands to BeHoCa. Welcome to BeHoCa Romee Kortenoefar! We wish you lots of success and fun.
Romee has worked out all the activities for the vacations. It is very nice to go into the vacation well prepared. This long vacation is always a busy time, so this saves a lot of work.
Uncle Raj
Thanks in part to the donations received through our appeal for Raj's funeral, the funeral was able to take place. It was also possible for all the boys to say goodbye to him in an appropriate manner. This was the first time in our boys' lives that they were able to say goodbye to someone who had fallen away from their lives. It was not easy for them, but very nice that they could experience some kind of closure for the first time. We are very grateful for this!
Warm wishes, BeHoCa family

DID YOU KNOW THAT:

• The boys are practicing dances for on TikTok. Whole days of training precede it. We are curious!

• We have a pigeon with an identity disorder. She thinks she is a chicken. She sits in the coop with the chickens and walks around like a chicken even though she can just fly!

• We have so much food from our vegetable garden that we have complete meals that we harvested ourselves. SO AWESOME!

• We are looking forward to the holidays. The boys can really enjoy the coziness these days bring. #familylife!
