OXTED Town Centre - Christmas Events Update
There's loads going on over the next few weeks in Oxted town centre. So please help spread the festive word to your customers, clients, families and friends...and please TELL US what your business is up to so we can help you promote your own activities and festive promotions.

Thursday 23rd November
LATE NIGHT SHOPPING & LIGHTS
On 23rd November, join BBC Radio Surrey’s Mark Carter, all your favourite festive characters, street entertainers and more for Late Night Shopping and Christmas Lights.
At 5pm we will start with a Candlelight procession from Cattle & Cocktail, with Mark Carter, Santa Claus, Mrs Claus & a naughty elf together with Mary Poppins and carol singers. Children will be given battery operated candles to carry (while stocks last!) or bring your own. The procession will walk up Station Road West, lighting the street as we go, then through the tunnel and down through Station Road East for the official switch on.
Station Road West:
- Santa’s grotto at Morr & Co – with Meet & Greet from 6-7pm
- Snow Globe Photo Dome
- Festive photo booth at Dessert Spot
- Street entertainers – Ice Men Jugglers
Station Road East:
- Free face painting at Starbucks with Honey Bee Face Painting
- Street food – visiting and permanent Oxted businesses up at the station area (both sides)
- Living snow globe – hugely popular last year and back again down by Paydens!
- Bungee trampolines by The Fun Firm by the station
- Street entertainers – Polar Bear
- Musical Bingo @ The Ginistry!

Saturday 2nd December, 11am-3pm
CHRISTMAS MARKET & SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY
- Christmas Market on Station Road West. There will be lots of lovely mix Market stalls both on Station Road West and in some of the shops, selling gifts, jewellery, artisan, eco socks, cupcakes and bakes, hampers etc...
- PLUS, hot street food in the taxi area outside the Station Road East tunnel entrance.
- Tinsel and Bauble the naughty elves at Play Town for fun decorating Christmas baubles with crafts, glitter, stickers and their own festive drawing under supervision of the elves. Oxted 9.30AM session (elves arriving at 10), Free hot drink for the parents too Book direct with playtown.
- Face Painting at Dessert Spot
- Christmas Wine Tasting at The Secret Cellar 11-4pm.
- Performances by The Oxted Band 12.00 on Station Road West (outside IG Equine) and 13.00 on Station Road East (Outside BOOTS) and
- Festive songs by Bee of Character Parties by Bee – 12.30 on Station Road West and 13.30 on Station Road East.

- Sunday 3rd December, 11am: SING IT OUT SINGERS belt out some festive tunes outside Boots!
- 16&17th December – SANTA’S GROTTO & REINDEER at Master Park
- Saturday 23rd December – THE (VICTORIAN) CAROLLERS will be around town.
- Christmas Crafternoons at Oxted Library on the first 3 Saturdays of December (2/9/16). Perfect for age 5+ and only £1 per child. Just drop in between 2.30pm & 4pm. No need to book.
- Christmas Memory Tree at Sew Perfect from w/c 20th November
- Garlands on Station Tunnel (E) entrance
- Twinkly lights on the planters and trees - please feel free to add more!
- Letters to Santa Mailbox - Starts 20th November at Jules Boutique, then on to Barnardo's.
