Lake County Flavor Fest Participation
Due December 8

This year we are combining our renowned Lake County Restaurant Week and Libation Trail initiatives into one taste-tempting, month-long event: February Flavor Festival.

From February 1-29, this is our chance to showcase all the individual operators who offer fun, unique dining and drinking destinations for visitors and residents. Supporting our hospitality partners in Lake County is our highest priority.

The monthlong foodie frenzy is a multi-platform campaign highlighting Lake County restaurants, breweries, distilleries and wineries with exclusive dining offers, food and drink pairings, chef demonstrations, inspiring libation concoctions, live entertainment and other fun promotions to attract new guests.

Lake County Flavor Festival also helps:

  • Drive business through your doors and increase spending.
  • Bring value pricing and new tasting opportunities to entice new patrons.
  • Stimulate business for our partners - creating extraordinary experiences visitors will share.
  • Create awareness for new venues and attract a wider audience for our favorite destinations.
  • Receive data and analytics via the check-in platform.
To be included in all Lake County Flavor Fest print marketing, return this form and your special menu or offer details (click here to download) to us by Friday, December 8. Contact VLC Community Outreach & Programs Director John Maguire or Community Engagement Specialist Hazel Gayheart.

Holiday Happenings Return to Six Flags Great America

World of Illumination is hosting Arctic Adventure, a drive-through audio-visual experience in Six Flags Great America's parking lot this holiday season.

The Arctic Adventure is synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes that you can tune into on your car's radio, creating splendiferous family memories. The World of Illumination experience's host is Beti the Yeti, an amiable helper to the man in the big red suit's special delivery unit.

On select days, the Gurnee staple will open its doors to the public with the renowned Columbia Carousel dressed in its holiday best. Six Flags Great America complements the experience with its Carousel Lights and Markets.

This event runs solely on certain weekends; visitors can delight in holiday treats, photo ops, riding the aforementioned attraction and marvel at the Carousel Plaza and Orleans Place décor.

World of Illumination: Arctic Adventure runs November 17-December 31, while Carousel Lights and Market inside Six Flags Great America is open select days from November 25-December 23. Stay tuned for VLC's guide to this much-anticipated event.
