The Pedestrian Zone is currently not scheduled to return in 2024. Its future will be discussed during Town of Banff’s Budget and Service Review later this year. We are seeking feedback from all of our members. To share your views on the Pedestrian Zone and its future with BLLT, see our visitor survey results and complete our member survey here. The deadline to complete our survey is November 21, 2023.

Christmas press release
Last week Banff & Lake Louise Tourism deployed a Christmas press release to local and regional news media, and travel media outlets in North America. The valuable information shared, invited media outlets to amplify our destination's key messages as well as what’s happening in Banff and Lake Louise during the festive season. For the calendar of all events happening over the Christmas season visit here.

Switch on your festive lighting decorations at 4:47 p.m. November 18
This Saturday, November 18, switch on your lights at 4:47 p.m. and light up Banff Avenue! If your business has fairy lights or Christmas lighting, we invite you to have these up for the event. As part of the Santa Claus Celebration of Lights, Santa will be counting down the moment alongside special guests and performers to ring in the festive season ahead.

Mr. & Mrs. Claus will make their way to the main stage at the intersection of Banff Ave and Wolf Street when the sun begins to set at 4.30 p.m. to present the celebration and to switch on the lights at 4:47 p.m.
