LAST CHANCE TO DONATE TO STEWARDS OF THE COAST AND REDWOODS IN 2023!
This is your last chance to make an impact in 2023! As we pursue our mission to protect the natural and cultural resources of Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, Austin Creek State Recreation Area, and Sonoma Coast State Park through volunteerism, environmental education, and stewardship for generations to come – we are reaching out to you, the generous members of our community, in the hope that you will join us in making a meaningful impact.

In the state parks we support, Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods (Stewards) enhances visitors' knowledge and appreciation of these invaluable parklands, including the rehabilitation of Pond Farm, the home, studio, and classroom of Marguerite Wildenhain. We train and oversee volunteers who provide diverse services, from leading school students through tidepools and old growth redwoods to trail maintenance, guiding park guests, and facilitating safe wildlife viewing along our majestic coastline.
Our work wouldn't be possible without the support of compassionate individuals like you. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of our community to accomplish our goals. We are building a more inclusive organization with more relevant programs for park visitors (especially youth), while investing in our organizational capacity. We appreciate your consideration of a gift now in support of our mission.

Together, we will make a substantial difference in the lives of the 4,500 students that engage in redwood and tidepool education, the 100,000 visitors that participate in our programs, the hundreds of volunteers who find community in our work, the artists who discover inspiration at Pond Farm, and all the parks we support.
Here are several ways you can support our work:
  1. Donate: Your generous financial contributions help us achieve our goals. Every dollar is a step toward protecting our park lands, rehabilitating Pond Farm, and offering transportation scholarships to increase school access to these amazing parks.
  2. Subscribe: Make each month matter for the coast and redwoods. Recurring monthly donations provide the stability that allows us to be nimble and act quickly.3
  3. Tribute Table: Pay tribute to a loved one, celebrate a milestone or demonstrate community support. Made of redwood, our engraved picnic tables will provide a place of respite for you and other park visitors. Dedicated picnic tables start at $3,500. Following the Walbridge Fire, we remain in great need of picnic tables for Bullfrog Pond Campground and in the grove at Armstrong Redwoods.
Your involvement is an investment in the betterment of these special lands, the fragile habitats they support, the children learning the value of them and becoming the future generations of Stewards. Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can create positive change in the lives of those we serve.

Sincerely yours,
Justin Lindenberg
Executive Director

P.S. THANK YOU to everyone that has already donated. Your support is a catalyst for change and a brighter future for all. We appreciate your partnership in our journey to make a difference in peoples lives!

Testimonials from program participants:

In my 19 years of teaching this was one of the best field trips ever. The docents made it safe and a very wonderful learning opportunity. One student said, “This is better than a vacation.” We couldn’t have done it without the bus scholarship. Also, not being charged a fee made it possible to go. It was a magical day, and everyone loved it.

Bellevue Elementary

“Our study of our relationship to the natural systems around us was not just an education in California – it extended to the interconnected bonds of a living planet and its more-than-human inhabitants.”
 ~Erika Lutz
California Naturalist Course

We could not do this incredible work without our community!
