In 2016, The Arc of Southwest Colorado introduced an initiative that has since become a cherished tradition - Game Day. Every Monday, people with ALL Abilities meet up with friends for a morning of laughter, camaraderie, and, most importantly, a whole lot of fun. It serves as a hub for social interactions and place for people to connect.
Participants engage in a variety of classic board games, such as Uno, Yahtzee, Sequence, Chutes and Ladders, and Connect Four. These timeless games provide a common ground for everyone to engage, socialize, and enjoy a delightful evening.
We have approximately 12 to 15 people show up every week. Over the course of a month, this is roughly 50 participants, and on a yearly basis, an astounding 600 adults benefit from Game Day!
