Klub je novou bílou kostkou –představujeme vám program prosincového festivalu performance
Jednodenní událost Odejít znamená vrátit se jinudy proběhne v pražském klubu Ankali & Planeta Za ve středu 13. prosince 2023. Festival navazuje na první ročník Všichni jsme emotivní, který proběhl v roce 2022 v Divadle X10. Letošní ročník odhaluje tělesné, smyslové a politické aspekty střetu dvou paralelních sfér městské kultury: současného umění a klubové hudby a jejich možnosti i limity. V rámci programu se představí umělci a umělkyně Vojtěch Fröhlich, kolektiv Glory Affairs, Tot Onyx, Tomek Pawłowski-Jarmołajew, Sláva Sobotovičová, Jonáš Strouhal, Sráč Sam a další.
V rámci programu festivalu se představí deset umělců a umělkyní. Jejich performance budou probíhat napříč různými částmi členitého prostoru klubu. AXT je ukrajinská DJka a zvuková umělkyně žijící v Praze. Je rezidentkou klubu Bike Jesus a spoluzakladatelka platformy Motsion. 3C 273 je sólový hudební projekt slovenské, v Praze usazené skladatelky Moniky Kováčové. Vojtěch Fröhlich svoje umělecké uvažování i vyjadřování odvozuje ze sportu, přírody, i pocitů osobního sdílení zvláštních situací. Členové a členky kolektivu Glory Affairs spojuje přání spoluvytvářet spojení mezi přáteli i cizími lidmi i sdílená zkušenost migrace. Pro festival připravují vícesmyslovou performanci s prvky fyzioterapie a audiovizuálního environmentu.
The club is the new white cube – we announce you the program of the December festival of performance art
The one-day event To Leave Is to Return Another Way will take place in the Prague club Ankali & Planeta Za on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. The event builds on the first edition of the festival, We Are All Emotional!, which took place in 2022 at Divadlo X10. This year’s edition reveals the physical, sensory, and political aspects of the collision between two parallel spheres of urban culture: contemporary art and club music, with all their possibilities and limitations. The program will feature artists such as Vojtěch Fröhlich, the collective Glory Affairs, Tot Onyx, Tomek Pawłowski-Jarmołajew, Sláva Sobotovičová, Jonáš Strouhal, Sráč Sam, and others.
The festival program will feature ten artists, whose performances will take place in different parts of the club’s segmented space. AXT is a Ukrainian DJ and sound artist who lives in Prague. She is a resident at the club Bike Jesus and cofounder of the platform Motsion. 3C 273 is the solo music project of the Prague-based Slovak composer Monika Kováčová. Vojtěch Fröhlich derives his artistic thinking and expression from sports, nature, and the feelings that come from personally sharing strange situations. The members of the collective Glory Affairs are united by their desire to forge connections between friends and strangers as well as by the shared experience of migration. For the festival, they are preparing a multisensory performance with elements of physiotherapy and an audiovisual environment.

Producentka a DJka Martyyna v září 2023 premiérovala svůj nový koncertní program na festivalu Lunchmeat a v rámci festivalu v Ankali odehraje DJ set. V živém koncertu se představí Tot Onyx – samostatný projekt umělkyně Tommi Tokyo z japonské experimentální performativní hudební skupiny group A. Kurátor, kuchař, performer a edukátor Tomek Pawłowski-Jarmołajev pro festival připravuje kulinářskou intervenci s odkazem na tradiční polskou kuchyni. Umělkyně Sláva Sobotovičová se zabývá pamětí otištěnou ve folklóru a populární kultuře a v rámci večera představí novou performanci o queer historii klubové kultury. Jonáš Strouhal osciluje mezi rolemi umělce, vědce či sociologa, v projektu pro festival prozkoumává emoce spojené se životem v pozdně kapitalistické společnosti. Výtvarnice Sráč Sam připravuje performativní křest českého překladu knihy Dusivá místa americké feministické spisovatelky, aktivistky a umělkyně Shulamith Firestone. Kniha, jejíž součástí jsou původní ilustrace Sráč Sam, bude na festivalu poprvé veřejně v prodeji.
Producer and DJ Martyyna premiered her new concert program at the Lunchmeat Festival in September 2023 and will play a DJ set at Ankali as part of the festival of performance art. There will be a live performance by Tot Onyx – the solo project of artist Tommi Tokyo from the Japanese experimental musical performance duo group A. Curator, chef, performer, and educator Tomek Pawłowski-Jarmołajew is preparing a culinary intervention for the festival, inspired by traditional Polish cuisine. Artist Sláva Sobotovičová explores the memory imprinted in folklore and pop culture, and during the event she will present a new performance about the queer history of club culture. Jonáš Strouhal oscillates between the roles of artist, scientist, and sociologist. In his project for the festival, he will explore the emotions associated with life in late capitalist society. Artist Sráč Sam is preparing a performative release of the Czech translation of the book Airless Spaces by American feminist writer, activist, and artist Shulamith Firestone. The book, which includes original illustrations by Sráč Sam, will be available for purchase for the first time at the festival.
