WISCONSIN FAITH VOICES FOR JUSTICE:
MOVING FROM CHARITY TO JUSTICE
November 28, 2023
Dear Friends,
Throughout the months leading up to today, we have highlighted different programing that addresses critical issues facing our society today. As you reflect over the time you have spent with friends and family this past holiday weekend, I encourage you to also reflect on how you can foster connection over division, dialogue over dispute, and understanding over hatred.
Many of our initiatives are designed with these goals, but I want to turn your attention to one at the moment. Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice, working alongside 100 Black Men and with funding from the Jewish Federation of Madison, sponsors a podcast run by African-American and Jewish teens. “The Talk” is a podcast series where African-American and Jewish teens get together to talk about their lives and issues they care about, to learn about each other’s backgrounds and cultures, and to build new friendships. By sowing the seeds of harmony in teenagers we are investing a future filled with more tolerance and understanding for all. This podcast will not fix the world, but our dream is that it may change the hearts and minds of even just a few people who tune in. Help us fund programming like this. If you want your donation to go directly to this program, write us a comment saying so when you donate. You can also direct it toward racial justice and equity more broadly.
Donate today. Your small contribution might only help change the mind of one person, but with each person we reach the world becomes a more inclusive place for us all. Eventually, with enough people, we will change the world. It all starts with you!
