Sunday Service

A Generous Habit

Sunday, November 26th
10:25am
Join us in person or Zoom!

What enables us to share what we have with spontaneity, without hesitancy?  How might we cultivate a habit of giving, without overthinking this instinct?

Coffee and Collaboration

Join us December 1st for a special Coffee and Collaboration to begin decorating for the winter holidays!
There's lots to do so we will start early.
Decorating will be from 11am - 2:30pm in the Main Sanctuary.
Bring a lunch and come join us for merry-making!

Upcoming Children and Youth Events at Northlake!

November 26 and December 3rd - preparation for our Youth-Led Service on December 10th. This year our RE Sunday will be a youth-led service on the theme of mystery! We will be co-creating the service, choosing songs and readings, sharing music and a short message on how we manage uncertainties and lean into the mystery that life offers. Children and youth can also participate as chalice lighters, celebrants, and musicians!
  • December 10th - Youth-Led Service “The Gift of Embracing the Mystery”
  • December 17th - December Crafts and Games during RE class time
  • December 21 - Solstice Celebration, Main Sanctuary @ 7pm. There’s an opportunity for youth and adults to help set up for the Solstice celebration, and also to participate in its creation! If you have time and are interested, please contact Margaret at DLRE@northlakeuu.org by December 10th.
  • December 24th - no morning service! Join us for Christmas Eve service at 7pm.

EIM: Eastside Introductory Meditation Class Series

7-9PM
Sanctuary

For six Wednesday evenings, starting Jan. 17, we will develop the path of mindfulness meditation, also called insight meditation, and how it can benefit you. As described in the link, the series will include teachings, periods of meditation, plenty of discussion, and follow-ups at home. The series, which will start at 7 p.m. each day, will be online and in person, the latter in the sanctuary at Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church in Kirkland.
