The Hammer Museum presents MoMA Contenders, a series featuring influential and innovative films from the last 12 months. Whether destined for acclaim or cult status, each film in this collection vies for enduring historical significance. Post-screenings, audiences can engage in Q&A sessions with filmmakers, cinematographers, costume designers, and screenwriters.
Tickets are available through the Hammer Museum's website—$ 10 Hammer members | $20 general admission.
Join us on December 3 for an afternoon of music with the Pepper Moons, a captivating 6-piece swing ensemble presented by the Friends of the Westwood Branch Library and the Los Angeles Musical Salon. Led by acclaimed singer Eva Mikhailovna, they've been a hit in Southern California's vintage music scene since 2022.
Doors open at 2 p.m., and the show starts at 2:30 p.m. A dance floor will be set up in the library for your enjoyment. Note: The Westwood Branch is usually closed on Sundays, so regular library services will not be available on that day. Don't miss the unforgettable sounds of the Pepper Moons!
