Dear Fellow Paint Branchers,
Recently, I wrote about two important ways to participate in the formation of the present and future of our church. These processes are underway! You should have received two emails this past week.
Ministerial Search
On Tuesday, the Board provided the congregation with information regarding the Ministerial Search Committee (MSC). We are seeking church members to lead the search for our next minister.
The MSC message contained a typo about the deadline for applications. The correct deadline is Monday, November 27th.

Mission Development
On Wednesday you should have received an email about the church’s mission development process. We begin with a small group discernment called Listen, Connect and Imagine. PBUUC members will have an opportunity to participate in small groups to consider how we’ve been in the last few months, who we are as a church, and who we aspire to be.
Some of the small groups will meet online, others will be held in-person.To sign-up for these groups, and for more information, follow this link: Mission Development Groups, The deadline is November 29th.
I hope you will participate in this beginning of our mission discernment journey. All of us will have an opportunity to help form our church’s future.

Fellow Paint Branchers,
As we mourn the loss of our beloved Chris McCann, it might be helpful to know what the family is requesting and to have some preliminary information about next steps. This is from Aaron, Chris’ spouse.
Hello Everyone,
Zoe and I have really enjoyed reading your memories of Chris and the sharing of them. I want to request that, if you would like to, please send me any and all stories you have of your time with her. I hope to collect them into a kind of book, so that people can know her, and so that all of our memories can be preserved. Voice memos, art, emails, songs, playlists, and letters are all welcomed. Thank you all so much.
You can send memories to them by sending an email to Chris413memories@gmail.com. You may also send cards to them at 19 Clayton Ave. Frankford, DE 19945. Celebrations of Chris’ life are being planned and as more details become available, they will be shared. In addition, also in the planning stages is a fund that the family will set up in Chris’ honor and will ask that contributions be made to that fund in lieu of flowers. Again, more details to follow.

As we move forward into a minister search, it will be important for our web site to represent who we are today. Spirituality Circle continues to meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. We are continuing with the Faith Forward curriculum and our next meeting will be November 26th at 11. We had some discussion last month about not meeting that Sunday right after Thanksgiving but at our last meeting, November 12th, we decided we would meet after all. We will begin a discussion on Session 4 – Prayer. The link for handouts for this session will be available next week.

PBUUC is recruiting volunteers for the greeter/usher role as we restart in person worship services. Commit to one or more Sundays per month and enjoy the benefit of getting to know your fellow congregants better. Training will be provided.
