We are excited to announce that our chassis is now under construction. As we begin to build our next competition vehicle, this means that the team is beginning to raise funds to allow us to bring our members to compete in May.

Your Impact

Competition is a rewarding and motivating experience that allows our members to further cultivate their passion, character and engineering capabilities. Seeing our car compete against some of the best teams, alongside some of the brightest minds in the engineering field is also one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences for our members.

Members who have been able to attend have experienced a remarkable and unique opportunity as they meet and network with industry professionals, gain hands on engineering experience and share knowledge with other teams. It is our wish to be able to give as many members the opportunity to see the car they built compete in Michigan. 

The endeavor of sending all our members comes with substantial financial commitments, including a $2,500 annual competition registration fee, as well as the necessity to independently arrange and finance logistics such as transportation, lodging and sustenance for an entire week.

We are actively seeking to raise funds in order to expand the number of members we can accommodate at this year's event. Our objective is to secure $10,700 which will allow us to attend our 2024 competition.

Dyno Day

Our Second Dyno Day

Congratulations to our powertrain team for a successful dyno day and a huge thank you to Evolution Dynamics for their continued support on our tuning endeavors! This experience helped our members understand more about our engine and we were able to gain 5 peak horsepower, but increased the parts of the powerband by as much as 15 horsepower.

Nolan, our manufacturing lead, has been sharing the wonders of welding with his members. He hosts weekly workshops where students can learn how to weld and to practice their skills. We are pleased to announce that our team is finally able to start in depth testing on our car throughout the Fall 2023 semester. We want to express our gratitude to Labjack’s incredible donation of their T7-PRO data acquisition system (DAQ). Their sponsorship enables our team to finally validate our simulations and take our program to the next level.

We know that without the generosity of our valued sponsors such as Labjack, the incredible quality and results of this project would not have been possible for the next few years. This data acquisition system will help us begin a foundation of data analysis and validation of our vehicle.
