Discoveree 2024 Catalog

Registration Opens December 11th at 7 am

Discoveree registration will open at 7 am on December 11th and will remain open until January 17th. Most registrations happen in the first week and popular workshops (First Aid, Camp Out) fill fast. There are no wait lists. If you do not see a workshop listed when you go to register, it is because it is full. The registration link will be sent out via this newsletter the weekend before registration opens.

NEW! - Discount for New Leaders

Discoveree is designed to support Girl Scout volunteers. We want to especially welcome those who have recently taken on the challenge of being a Girl Scout Troop Leader. If you became a Troop Leader between April and December 2023 then you qualify for half-off your registration. You will be sent an email directly from council with the discount code. Please encourage any new leaders you know to attend Discoveree!

NEW! - Overnight Accommodations & Childcare

We are piloting two new programs this year:

Overnight Accommodations for our Girl Scout sisters traveling from far away. Reservations will open at the same time as Discoveree registration. You'll be able to find the link on the Discoveree homepage the weekend before registraiton opens.. The cost is $10 per person. Click here for more details on the program.

Child Care for a limited (12) number of school-aged children. We are partnering with a Senior Girl Scout troop who is handling all the arrangements for this program. Registration opens at the same time as Discoveree registration. Our partner troop is working hard to get the details and registration available by December 11th.

Seeking Discoveree Assistants

We are looking for Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts to help us out at Discoveree. Discoveree Assistants (DAs) help workshop leaders haul gear, distribute lunches, and help out as needed. We could not run Discoveree without them! Girl Scouts will earn 9 hours towards their 'Service to Girl Scouting' award.

Leader Feature: More NEW Discoveree Workshops!

The Discoveree Committee is always looking for a solid mix of workshops leaders expect (council trainings, ceremonies, songs, SWAPS, etc.) and new topics. Here are a few of the new workshops being offering this year. Be sure to register early for best selection!

If you are new (or even a newish) leader try out New Leader Roadmap (Workshop 107) to figure out where to start and get your questions answered.

Songs are a great Girl Scout tradition and a great time filler. Take DIY Girl Scout Songbook (Workshop 121) to learn songs and create your own songbook!

Ready to level up your outdoor cooking skills? Then Camp Tea Time (Workshop 264) might be just for you!

Want to get your Girl Scouts involved in STEM but not sure where to start? Learn about RAFT STEM Kits (Workshop 342) which provide you with (almost) everything you need.

The Bay Area is full of amazing places to take Girl Scouts of all ages. In Excursions (Workshop 365) you'll learn about easy trips you can take with your troop.

Learn about Juliette Low - Our Remarkable Founder (Workshop 407) and how to share her story through a series of troop-ready activities.

A craft with a purpose! In Decorated Clipboards (Workshop 386) you'll learn multiple ways of decorating this functional tool.

This is just a sampling of the over 25 new workshops being offered at Discoveree! There are over 80 workshops being offered this year.
