Dubbed RoboScout DTC, the team led by Professor Derek Paley, Director of the Maryland Robotics Center, will be part of the Systems Competition, one of three competitions in challenge, and will focus its efforts on primary triage, in which medical personnel seek to identify and treat those most urgently in need of care.

Aerospace engineering alumnus Oliver Ortiz (‘14, M.S. ‘16) featured in NASA article. Ortiz leads Northrop Grumman’s systems engineering team focused on the integration of Gateway’s foundational elements, HALO (Habitation and Logistics Outpost) and the Power and Propulsion Element.
The Philip Merrill program provides $1,500 scholarships, while recognizing and celebrating the teachers and mentors involved in preparing the next generation.
