Celebrations of Learning
Celebration of Learning was a success! We are so proud of our students for being brave, working hard, and sharing their music performances, plays, art, and learning with our community. Pancake Breakfast Success!
One of our favorite traditions is the pancake breakfast the day before Winter Break! Big thanks to our parent volunteers for making this fantastic event happen, and we had an impressive turnout this year! We couldn’t do it without you. We had a lot of happy kids and full bellies, and spent a wonderful time in community together.
Staff  Member Introduction
April Juretzka, Support Staff
April has a bachelor's degree in architectural interior design from Eastern Michigan University. Her early career involved designing educational spaces, from K-12 schools to libraries and community centers. Passionate about fostering creativity, April transitioned to supporting children. After starting a family, April expanded her experience to substituting in classrooms and front office school support for five years. She started and co-lead a Kindergarten Daisy Girl Scout troop for two years and is still involved in the organization's cookie season. For eight years, she dedicated time to serving as a board member volunteer for her children’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). It was a fulfilling journey, collaborating with fellow parents, teachers, and administrators to enhance the educational experience for our students.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys exploring the PNW mountains with her husband and two children camping, boating in the summer, and downhill skiing in the winter. Her commitment and passion to supporting children and educational staff shines through her diverse experiences and family adventures.

Inclement Weather Reminders

How we communicate about delays and closures

We hear chilly temps are coming! In the case of inclement weather, we communicate early to review forecasts, road conditions, and communication from local agencies. Since our community comes from a variety of geographic areas, we consider travel conditions as part of the safety assessment and make the decision to delay or cancel school if needed.

Families will be notified through FACTS as soon as possible in the morning about any closures or delays. In the case of a late start, school will start two hours late at 10:30, and there will be no Before Care.

It's time to RSVP!

Snowball 2024 is almost here!
On January 12th 2024, the Gardner School is hosting the Snow Ball! The Snow Ball was started three years ago to create a safe space for students to enjoy and experience a school dance. With the help of all the staff, we’ve been able to put together a wonderful experience for the students.

Your student is invited to join their friends in a night of dancing, crafts, games, and more dancing! There will be some quieter activities for the youngest children to have some low-key breaks in Mazama as well. Older siblings are welcome, but we are unable to host children younger than kindergarten who are not already enrolled in our program due to licensing rules. Dinner is provided and catered by Olive Garden.

When:
Friday, January 12th, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (aftercare is still available on this day)

Students can be dropped off in the lobby between 5:00 pm - 5:30pm.

  • Dinner will be held 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the green portable for K-6, the Mazama classroom for preschool and Pre-K students

Pick up is between 7:30- 8:30, with parents signing their children out from the Main Building lobby. Parents are welcome to come and dance from 7:30 pm-8:00 pm!
