FERRARI UK PREMIERE HITS LONDON

This week Premier produced the UK Premiere of Sky Original Ferrari at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Monday 4th December. Talent on the red carpet included director Michael Mann, alongside Adam Driver, Shailene Woodley, Penelope Cruz, Patrick Dempsey and Jack O'Connell. Ferrari will hit UK cinemas on Boxing Day before going to Sky Cinema in 2024. 

THE WOMEN IN FILM & TV AWARDS 

Premier once again managed the red carpet for the Women in Film & TV Awards last week, which took place at London Hilton Park Lane. Hosted by Katherine Ryan, the 2023 ceremony saw Meera Syal CBE honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Other winners included Alison Hammond, Gbemisola Ikumelo and Grace Ofori-Attah, Head of News and Current Affairs and Specialist Factual and Sport at Channel 4. Guests at the star-studded event included Adjoa Andoh, Aimee Lou Wood, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Sir Lenny Henry, Edith Bowman, Genevieve O’Reilly, Katie Price, Laura Whitmore, Rosie Jones, Susan Wokoma, Victoria Derbyshire, David Morrissey, Jack Thorne, Carol Vorderman, Mo Gilligan and Tom Burke. Interviews for CEO, Katie Bailiff were secured in Broadcast, The Media Podcast and Yahoo! Plus an interview with Lifetime Achievement Winner, Meera Syal for The Times. SALTBURN COMING TO PRIME VIDEO ON 22 DECEMBER

Premier is handling the UK and international publicity campaign for Amazon MGM Studios Saltburn which will be coming to Prime Video on 22 December. Working with the Premier in house creative team,  this week saw an international hybrid junket for the film in London with director Emerald Fennell and actors Barry Keoghan, Alison Oliver, Archie Madewke, Ewan Mitchell and Paul Rhys all taking part. Influencers and press had the chance to get lost in a maze and dine at a hangover brunch, and be photographed in film styled costumes amidst real props from the film including the notorious bathtub.

BRINGING THE SIMS TO LIFE IN CENTRAL LONDON

To celebrate the launch of the highly-anticipated expansion pack, The Sims 4 For Rent, Electronic Arts and Premier brought the magic of The Sims 4 to life with the opening today of Landgraab & Son(s) Estate Agents, an immersive pop-up installation, in Central London. For Rent allows players, for the first time ever, to experience what it means to be a property manager in The Sims 4. Landgraab & Son(s) brought this gameplay element into the real world, giving guests the chance to put themselves into the shoes of a property mogul for the day, with over 1,000 people attending, including media, influencers and fans.

STARS COME OUT FOR THE BRITISH INDEPENDENT FILM AWARDS 2023

Premier was delighted to be at the British Independent Film Awards last week, filming behind the scenes interviews for our clients ScreenUK and the British Film Institute. The Premier team built and ran the in-house studio on site at the event, capturing interviews with the many stars of the screen in attendance. BBC DRAMA MEN UP PREVIEWS IN SOUTH WALES

Premier has been working with Quay Street Productions and Boom on brand-new BBC drama Men Up. The forthcoming drama is inspired by the remarkable true story of one of the world's first medical trials for Viagra, held in Swansea’s Morriston Hospital in 1994. Working in conjunction with BAFTA Cymru, BBC Wales and Creative Wales, a preview screening and Q&A was held in Swansea earlier in the week with BAFTA Members, cast and creatives in attendance. Interviews on site included BBC Wales News and S4C Heno. You can watch Men Up on BBC One and iPlayer on 29 December at 9pm.

CALIBRE AUDIO CELEBRATES 50 YEARS

Premier Scotland is delighted to be working with Calibre Audio on a campaign that celebrates the organisation’s 50th anniversary in 2024.  Since 1974, Calibre Audio has brought the joy of audiobooks to anyone struggling to access print. In 2021 the organisation sent over 380,000 audiobooks to over 16,500 members across the UK and internationally. The campaign will span a series of high-profile events and press moments both in-person and online across next year and beyond.

REBEL MOON – PART ONE: A CHILD OF FIRE

Zack Snyder’s upcoming epic, Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, had its London Premiere at BFI IMAX on Thursday 7 December. Premier handled media and photography for the event. An immersive experience for all guests, Premier was on hand to handle media and photography for the event. Stars in attendance included director/producer Zack Snyder, and his wife and co-producer Debbie Snyder, composer Tom Holkenborg, as well as cast Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Ray Fisher Djimon Hounsou, Michiel Huisman, Staz Nair, Fra Fee, Stuart Martin and E Duffy. Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire is out on Netflix 21 December.

THE BOYS IN THE BOAT

Premier provided event production and media management for the UK Special Screening of Warner Bros. Pictures The Boys in the Boat, which brightened up a gloomy Sunday afternoon. The team welcomed Director George Clooney to the red carpet at Curzon Mayfair alongside his wife Amal Clooney, cast Callum Turner, Joel Edgerton, producer Grant Heslov and the incredible GB rowing team. Based on the #1 New York Times bestselling non-fiction novel written by Daniel James Brown, the film will be released in cinemas on 12 January 2024. 

A BUSY WEEK FOR PREMIER PERSONAL PR CLIENTS

This week, Premier Personal clients Peter Morgan, Olivia Williams, and Gillian Anderson attended The Crown premiere celebration at the Royal Festival Hall to celebrate the final season of the series, releasing 14 December on Netflix. Emerald Fennell completed a Tastemaker Q&A with Edgar Wright on her latest film Saltburn. Finally, Peter Capaldi completed a press junket for his upcoming AppleTV+ series Criminal Record, streaming on the 10th of January 2024. The series follows two brilliant detectives in a tug of war over a historic murder conviction, dealing with issues of race, institutional failure, and the quest to find common ground in a polarised Britain.

PREMIER CHARITY BENEFICIARIES ANNOUNCED

Premier donates annually a significant cash sum to charities that meet its criteria rather than spending on seasonal entertaining and gifting. The Board makes a selection advised by the employee charities committee. This is in addition to gifts of services in kind made throughout the year. This year’s beneficiaries are Campaign Against Living Miserably to help train professional helpline workers engaged in suicide prevention, The Woodland Trust to fund planting of trees, Norbury Manor High School to help fund their choir in the context of the progressive cuts of the arts from school curriculums, The Whitechapel Mission to contribute to activities to help the homeless and The Felix Project to contribute to their activities in feeding the hungry and preventing food waste.
