Hybrid Program starts at 7 p.m.
January we are rolling out the red carpet to show off all of our beautiful sweaters and "ooh" and "ahh'' over our immense talent! There's also plenty of room to show off all our goofs and laugh at our mistakes! Bring your best or worst for a show-and-tell night with your favorite fiber friends.

Be sure to have the pattern name and designer, the yarn used, and anything you learned ready to share!

Virtual Attendees: Our virtual component will be a meeting room so that you can share with other virtual and in-person attendees.
Watch from home via zoom or join us in person!

Interested in volunteering? Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Seth, at volunteer@puddletownknittersguild.com. You can sign up for one single shift or commit to a position for the rest of the year. Thank you for your support!

Service Project

We are just as excited to return to Rose Haven as our service knitting partner in 2024 as they are to have us – which is to say we are all very excited! Rose Haven is a day shelter/community center focused on serving women, children, and the gender non-conforming folks, providing practical help along with dignity. Learn more about our partnership at the upcoming guild meeting.

In the meantime, go ahead and warm up those needles and hooks with warm winter accessories. When asked what items were most desirable, Liz Starke, Director of Development, answered with the magic word - HATS! They love hats and we love knitting them. No wonder we're so excited.

As usual for service knitting, please use machine washable yarns as you create on behalf of Rose Haven and their guests. Turn finished items in at any guild meeting or contact outreach@puddletownknittersguild.com to figure out a drop off place/time.

Finally, if you'd like to join the small group that organizes our service knitting, contact outreach@puddletownknittersguild.com to learn more. It's a low-energy-demand, high-joy-output way to help the guild and others.

February Guild Meeting

Sivia Harding
Roosimine and Vikkel, a Perfect Pair

Roosimine is an Estonian inlay colorwork technique that is as easy as pie - you simply lay in the contrast color in as you go - it’s not even knitted! It produces a delightfully embossed texture that is unlike anything else. Vikkel braids, which look like a horizontal line of knitting, are incredibly complementary to Roosimine, and the two techniques are often found together, a perfect pair! Sivia Harding has worked with fiber and art since she can remember. She is known for exceptional designs including lace, garments, accessories, and imaginative Moebius creations. She has been widely published and on Ravelry as Sivia Harding Knit Design.
