Forsyth County is deploying “Alert Forsyth,” a new emergency alert and notification system that will enable citizens to receive real-time alerts and instructions about imminent, local threats to health or safety via test messages, voice calls or emails.

Sheriff’s Office Launches App for Residents


Residents wanting real-time updates to road closures, missing critical individuals and Bolos, as well as news alerts, events and the option to report an incident, are now invited to download the MySheriff App from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.  


To become active on the app, simply search for Forsyth County, Georgia.

Keep Forsyth County Beautiful invites residents to recycle their Christmas trees during the annual ‘Bring One for the Chipper’ event from Dec. 26 through Jan. 27.

Fire Department Promotes 13 Personnel at Recognition Ceremony  


The Forsyth County Fire Department presented various awards and promoted 13 personnel during the department’s recognition ceremony for the 2023 year on Dec. 2. Family, friends and Fire Department staff attended the ceremony at Local Church Forsyth.

Join Senior Services for a staff-led discussion following the showing of the movie, Age of Love. Light refreshments will be provided. 

2024 Wellness Challenge: 52-Day Countdown – Tuesday, Jan. 23

Starting in January, Parks & Recreation will support for your journey to being the best version of you. Registration for this event will be open until Wednesday, Jan. 10.
