DIA DEL CAMPESINO
Nosotros comprometidos a su Salud attended El Día del Campesino and offered free Fibroscans® to the farmworker community. We were in San Luis Arizona (just a few feet from the border) on December 1st from 2:00am to 7:00am taking walk-in appointments to perform Fibroscans®. We were able to complete 63 scans and create awareness of NAFLD among the migrant/seasonal farmworker community. Read the article below to learn more about Día Del Campesino.
Nosotros comprometidos a su Salud asistió a El Día del Campesino y ofreció Fibroscans® gratis a la comunidad de trabajadores agrícolas. Estuvimos en San Luis Arizona (a solo unos metros de la frontera) el 1 de diciembre de 2:00 a. m. a 7:00 a. m. realizando Fibroscans®. Pudimos completar 63 escaneos y crear conciencia sobre NAFLD entre la comunidad de trabajadores agrícolas migrantes/de temporada. We continued our community outreach and engagement efforts for our Liver Study in Southern Arizona. This month the Nosotros team had the opportunity to attend different locations/events including the Mexican Consulate in Tucson, Consulate in Nogales, and Menlo Family Resource Center, where we offered our community free liver scans and provided other health resources.
Continuamos nuestras visitas de alcance comunitario para nuestro estudio del hígado en el sur de Arizona. Este mes, el equipo de Nosotros tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a diferentes lugares/eventos, incluido el Consulado de México en Tucson, Consulado de Nogales, y Menlo centro de recursos familiares, donde ofrecimos a nuestra comunidad escaneos de hígado gratis y brindamos otros recursos de salud.

Do you know what Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is? NAFLD is not related to alcohol consumption. Some of the risk factors include obesity, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. Most people have no symptoms!
