As a nonprofit news organization, we don't have shareholders. This allows us to pursue the type of investigative journalism we know you rely on. It also means that we rely on this community to support our work.

And the support is real! We’re very excited to share that we have met our initial NewsMatch goal, thanks to our loyal audience. 

But we’re not done yet. We've set one more challenge: To sign up 25 more donors by the end of the year.
