LBLnet Winter Holiday Maintenance

LBLnet is planning several maintenance tasks in almost all buildings over the holidays and curtailment period. Updated software will be installed on many of the Lab’s network devices on December 23 and December 26, 2023 through January 1, 2024. Wired and wireless network services within buildings may be disrupted for periods of up to 1 hour.

No IT-managed data center networks should be affected. No Lab-wide production business systems nor the 50A-2109C colocation facility will be affected.

Digital Signage Services

Digital signage is a modern, manageable way to deliver news, information, emergency alerts, and media to display screens located in common areas, entryways, lobbies, and more. The IT Division Audio Visual team generally utilizes Google Slides and a Chrome OS device to remotely and seamlessly push content to digital signage displays.
