Season's Greetings!
As Christmas approaches, we wanted to send out a big thank you to our customers for all your support this year. It's been another busy and exciting year at Riverside - and it's been a pleasure as always helping our customers to shape and tend their gardens big and small, and to play a part in the life of our local community.
Over the summer we hosted Mike the Microbial Unicorn, as part of Unicornfest, helping to raise money for Leukaemia Care. Visitors of all ages flocked to visit Mike (as well as Philip, our resident sheep!). This summer we were also proud to receive a certificate of merit award from BS3 Wildlife Group, welcoming Riverside as part of the Greater Bedminster Urban Nature Reserve. We also ran two makers markets this year, taking part in the South Bristol Arts Trail in September, followed by our own Winter Market in November. Thank you to all the artists and makers who took part and to all who visited and supported these events.
We want to thank you as well for your ongoing concern for Riverside regarding the Western Harbour development. We are expecting more news on this in 2024 and will of course keep our customers updated as and when we know more.
We greatly appreciate all your kind comments and feedback about the garden centre and café throughout this past year. It is heartwarming to know that what we are providing is of value to our community and we look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.
So that everyone at Riverside can have a relaxing break, please note we will be closing early at 2.30pm on Christmas Eve and will remain closed until Tuesday 2nd January at 9:30am.
So, all that remains to be said for now is Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone here at Riverside! x
