Dear UR Nursing community,
As I reflect on the end of the semester and an exciting 2023, I would like to express my gratitude for the passion and hard work shown across the School of Nursing community.
This year brought several milestones, such as our 10-year Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accreditation, the successful launch of the UR Nursing Scholars Program, the promise of new discoveries by our nurse scientists through recent grant funding, and the continued impact of our wellness and clinical initiatives throughout the Rochester community. None of our progress would be possible without our dedicated and talented faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. I hope you each take pride in your achievements this year.
Last Wednesday, we celebrated our newest accelerated bachelor's and RN-to-BS graduates at the Fall 2023 pinning ceremony. Seeing graduates receive their pins from individuals who have supported them throughout their nursing journey was a heartwarming reminder of what the holiday season is all about. As we focus on spending time with our family and friends over the winter holidays, I hope you each find moments of gratitude and joy in the company of loved ones.
I wish every one of you a happy, peaceful holiday season and a bright New Year ahead!
