Hello Neighbors,
As the year comes to an end we’ve had much to reflect on and so much to be thankful for. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve my community and the City of Chicago.
My first eight months of serving the 30th Ward have been full of learning and engagement through community meetings, participatory budgeting, and outstanding constituent services. I couldn’t have done any of it without such engaged passionate residents and staff.
As we head into 2024, I am excited to see what the year will bring for the new 30th Ward!
Read on to see where the 30th Ward has been recently and for updates about upcoming city initiatives like The Shared Cost Sidewalk Program and the 2024 30th Ward Museum Pass! Sincerely,
Alderwoman Cruz |

Holiday Fun - Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus took time out from their busy holiday schedules to visit the 30th Ward this holiday season. Santa stopped at the 30th Ward office to hand out gifts and take photos with families in the Ward. At Kilbourn Park Santa was joined by Alderwoman Cruz and State Rep Jamie Andrade and he let them know they both made the nice list this year! Thank you to Rep Andrade and Staff for providing hot chocolate and cookies, and to all the Kilbourn Park employees who helped with the event. Shout out to the Kilbourn Park Advisory Council for promoting the event as well as our 30th Ward volunteers! |

30th Ward at Work - We are so proud of the work our team is doing to keep the 30th Ward clean and beautiful. These past weeks Ald. Cruz went out to survey with newly appointed CDOT Commissioner Tom Carney to evaluate the quality of recent infrastructure projects. The Alderwoman also helped clean up a very messy alley while out with our Ward Superintendent for routine surveying. |
