Hi First Pres Family,
 Q: What do you get when you combine teens, daring youth advisors, and a bus?
A: The First Pres Youth Winter Retreat!
From February 16–19, our youth will escape to Lake Tahoe to be amongst the trees, crisp air, and starry night sky. Trips like these are important and necessary for our youth—not only will we get our “nature fix,” but we’ll have unhurried time to draw closer to one another and God. Please pray for our weekend to be safe, fun, and empowering!
Next question: do you like chili? For this Sunday’s Community Meal, our youth will host a soup and chili COOK-OFF to fund their Winter Retreat. The Cook-Off is a friendly competition that will feature a variety of soups and chilis made by our congregants.
Your $10 donation gets you a tasting cup, cornbread, and Deacon Punch. Did I mention children and youth eat for free? Come support our youth, sample the recipes, and vote for your favorites!
