NEW Spotlight: CalTeach Staff, Geral Lowe

In this month's SPOTLIGHT Series, we introduce the U.C. Berkeley, CalTeach team with a focus on Student Services Coordinator, Geral Lowe. Geral is a Bay Area native who is adamant about serving and empowering students to strive for success in whatever endeavors they embark upon and looks forward to continuing his mission-critical work at UC Berkeley.

The Animal Discovery Zone is Now Hiring

The Animal Discovery Zone is the transformation of our longstanding and beloved Animal Discovery Room. Our 2023 renovation has revitalized this learning experience, expanding the physical space to enable personal, inquiry-based learning, while also allowing for more efficient animal husbandry.

What began four decades ago has been a favorite among visitors of all ages in promoting not only science understanding, but also fostering deep and lasting connections with the natural world and with The Lawrence. Though the frontiers of science change rapidly, a connection to animals is a long-lasting bond that withstands the test of time.

Part-Time Math Instructor and Mentor to Elementary School Students

Descartes Learning Club is a boutique provider of premium math after-school enrichment classes in San Francisco, CA. Descartes Learning Club’s raison d'être is to develop problem-solving minds and inspire a lifelong love for learning through world-class math education, fostering investigation and tailored to each student's unique needs, all within a nurturing environment. We offer individualized, social, and in-person after-school K-5 math enrichment classes through micro class sizes of 2-4 students, expertly trained instructors with solid mathematical backgrounds, and engaging curriculums.
