We will continue to advocate for the right to education and training for all, supporting those professionals advancing education and training, to achieve a fairer and more just Europe in which each learner benefits from a personalised learning journey!
Our Annual Theme 2023 ended with a Position Paper on Key Competences for All: A Lifelong Learning Approach. The work does not stop here, as we will be advocating for our recommendations to be adopted by the EU institutions. Read them here.
Our Annual Theme 2024 has been launched! Stay tuned to hear more about how we will support all education and training professionals over this upcoming year. Read all about it here.
2023 finished with over 100 education and training stakeholders working at EU level being gathered by LLLP at the Lifelong Learning Stakeholders Forum. In light of the mid-term review of the European Education Area, recommendations from the civil society have been co-created. Over 2024, we will strive to make some of them a reality, including civil society participation in the High Level Group of the EEA, increased funding for the Erasmus+ programme, a European Commission Vice-President for Lifelong Learning, a Thematic Working Group on Key Competences. The recommendations can be accessed here and will feed LLLP’s response to the upcoming 2024 Open Public Consultation on the EEA.
In preparation for the EU elections, LLLP will also support the EESC’s Civil Society Week (4-7 March) with a workshop dedicated to depolarisation and co-organised with the Learning for Wellbeing Foundation. Moreover, LLLP is part of Civil Society Europe’s and Social Platform’s EU elections campaign, gearing our efforts towards a crucial moment that will decide the path that the EU wishes to take for the next five years.
LLLP has 4 new projects starting in 2024: two projects on research in education and policy (Bridge and Stride), one for the development of a digital competence cards tool (Digicards), and another one on student traineeships (Detas). Stay tuned!
