Honor Flight - Free Film Screening
Thursday, Feb. 22, 6:30-8:00 pm
at the Bloomer Middle School Auditorium.
This documentary film tells the inspiring story of one Wisconsin community working to send thousands of World War II veterans to visit the national memorial built in their honor. It’s an ambitious undertaking filled with challenges, and with nearly 1,000 WWII veterans passing away each day, it’s also a race against time. The trip from WI to Washington, DC is filled with laughter, tears and powerful but seldom-told stories of WWII heroism. Honor Flight is a tribute to the Greatest Generation, a salute to the volunteers across the U.S. that serve them, and a meditation on the gift of freedom granted to each and every American.
Rated PG - Some material may not be suitable for children. Emotional thematic elements, some war related disturbing images, brief smoking & mild language
