Interim Lakewood Pierce County Library

Progress is being made to build the interim Lakewood Pierce County Library.
To date, land use and site development requirements have been approved. In addition, the Library System submitted and is working toward approval for the right of way, sewer and building permit.
A construction schedule is projected to be ready to review at the February Board of Trustees' meeting.

Long-term Lakewood Libraries

In December and again this month, the Library's Board discussed planning for future Lakewood libraries (downtown and Tillicum area) and how the Board plans to approach this major body of work in 2024. The Board plans to participate in meetings, outside if its regularly scheduled meetings, to dedicate time and attention to planning for these libraries.

 The Pierce County Library offers pop-up libraries and services with community partners throughout Lakewood. You may check out books, movies and other materials as well as participate in classes and events at the pop-up libraries and community places.

Spanish/English Story Time

Tillicum Pierce County Library
Stories, rhymes and songs in Spanish and English. Cuentos, rimas y canciones en inglés y español. Ages 0-6.
Family Story Time
