Ron Jacaban Announced as
Oregon Conference Vice President for Education

On Sunday, January 7th, the joint Nominating and Executive Committees approved the nomination of Ron Jacaban to serve as the Vice President for Education in the Oregon Conference. He joins the Oregon Conference from his most recent role in the Washington Conference as Associate Superintendent for Education. Ron is a familiar face in the Oregon Conference, having served seven years at the Tillamook Adventist School as teacher and principal from 2003-2010, before leading as principal at Lake City Academy, Puget Sound Adventist Academy, and Kirkland Adventist School. Ron, a teacher at heart and an administrator by training, believes that Adventist schools should educate the whole student––spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically, and that our schools should be safe places for students to learn and grow. 10 Days of Prayer: Priorities of Faith

Everywhere we look in our world, our nation, our church, and our families, we see prayer needs. Join your Northwest family of faith January 11-20 for 10 Days of Prayer. You'll find daily devotionals and prayer resources at tendaysofprayer.org. Our prayer time will culminate on Jan. 20 at 4:00 PM with a Northwest Time of Prayer on Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, and NPUC.org.

Nine years ago, the need to intentionally connect churches and schools in ministry was recognized and the Together As One project was born. Through an annual convention of educators and pastors and on-going community initiatives, our students and their families––many of whom do not come from Christian homes––are introduced to Jesus and given the opportunity to make life-changing decisions.
