Hello Neighbors,

Happy New Year! As we step into January, we are delighted to bring you the latest updates and happenings from our community. Your continued support is invaluable, and I’m excited to share the stories, events, and news that make the 30th Ward vibrant. Wishing you a year filled with joy, connection, and positive moments.

Sincerely,

Alderwoman Cruz

Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Committee - As the Vice Chair, I’m pleased to share that we recently convened with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) for a hearing on the Chicago Cycling Strategy. CDOT outlined their ambitious plan to install 150 miles of protected bike lanes, fostering connectivity among all Chicago Communities and linking residents to their most utilized neighborhood amenities.

Senior Snow Removal - We had our first big snow of the year and our team was out helping our 30th Ward seniors and disabled residents shovel. The cold never bothered us anyway!
