Three Kings Day Parade - We enjoyed a splendid time at the St. Ferdinand’s Three Kings Day Parade this past weekend. We extend our appreciation to St. Ferdinand and Chicago Police districts 16 and 25 for their assistance in ensuring the event ran seamlessly and safely. Seeing neighbors participating in the parade was a great way to bring community together. As always, it was a pleasure to reconnect with my fellow public servant, MWRD Commissioner Dan Pogorzelski. |

Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Committee - As the Vice Chair, I’m pleased to share that we recently convened with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) for a hearing on the Chicago Cycling Strategy. CDOT outlined their ambitious plan to install 150 miles of protected bike lanes, fostering connectivity among all Chicago Communities and linking residents to their most utilized neighborhood amenities. |

Shared Cost Sidewalk Program Sign-Up Success! - The 30th Ward staff kicked off the week bright and early on Monday morning, to help residents eager to sign up for the shared cost sidewalk program (SCSP). The SCSP allows property owners to share the cost of sidewalk repair with the city. Thank you for your commitment to making our community a better place! | |
