Dear 30th ward residents,

We hope everyone is doing great and staying warm. As winter approaches, you may want to consider resources like CEDA’s LIHEAP for energy assistance or the Department of Housing’s Emergency Heating Repair Program for furnace support. Enroll by calling 311 or visiting www.chicago.gov/ehrp. Feel free to contact my office for assistance with these programs or any other concerns.

Sincerely,

Ruth Cruz, Alderwoman 30th Ward

St. Wenceslaus Update - The community organized, and I stood strong with my community to reach an agreement that we should all be proud of!

Salting for Seniors - It was a slippery start to the week and our team was out spreading salt to keep the stairways and sidewalks of our residents safe.

Senior Snow Removal - Team Cruz was out in full force for the first big snow of the year! We hit the sidewalks to help our seniors and disabled folks with snow removal.

Checking on our unhoused neighbors - With the arctic temperatures in Chicago last week My team and I checked on our unhoused neighbors, bringing them food and hand warmers and information about warming centers.
