Citizen of London: The story of Richard Whittington

Michael McCarthy introduces his biography of Richard Whittington - 'the boy who would be mayor' -from his arrival in London as a young boy to his death in 1423, against a backdrop of plague, politics and war.

Sunday lunchtime concert: Lior Solomons Wise Trio.

Lior (piano), Edouard (double bass) and Jonah (drums) have been playing together for a couple of years. They take their inspiration from the great names of Bebop jazz - Charles Mingus, Cannonball Adderley, Miles Davis and John Coltrane - but will include some compositions of their own.
