The Winter Detox, dedicated to 18-35 year olds, on January 27-28 in the Cembra Valley
A sense of community - that we often forget and overlook during the year - survives at Christmas. A feeling of community that we also try to create at our Detox camps. The next one coming up is the Winter Detox 2023-2024, dedicated to 18-35-year-olds, taking place on January 27-28 in a new location in Trentino... the Cembra Valley!
It will be a weekend of workshops, treks, group games and evening activities all strictly in Detox mode! Come join us on this mountain retreat of total freedom! Fun and socializing without digital distractions for a ridiculous price!

Local Fairs and the Community of Lavis

"Alla Fiera dei Ciucioi"
Last December 3 we exhibited at the annual Ciucioi Fair in Lavis (Trento, Italy). Under a green gazebo, our parent organization, ECONTROVERTIA APS, showcased all its ongoing and future activities including the Hydro Comics & Podcast project in the schools of Piana Rotaliana (Trento), the Agrecol Trees project in Bolivia and all our Detox initiatives. Fairs are a wonderful moment not only to advertise the organization's initiatives and products (such as the beautiful comic book "L'Avisio nel Tempo") but also to engage in authentic environmental conversations with the local people. On-the-street, unfiltered exchanges, constructive criticism, and sincere encouragement give us energy and allow us to understand the views of locals and the concrete needs of the communities where we work.

The first intercontinental video call of Agrecol Trees
Let's not forget about the Bolivian communities! Last December 19, we organized a social moment with the eight communities of Cochabamba to whom we handed over the care of the 240 trees planted since January 2021. In a group video call, about fifteen Tree Guardians participated: nine donors and six coordinators of the communities that adopted the trees. Conducted in Italian with Spanish and English translations, the call brought together two continents and provided new momentum to continue with renewed energy the work begun three years ago. Keeping in mind all the critical issues and strengths that came up in the call, we will return to Bolivia this spring for the next distributions!

From a comic book to a podcast
As a result of the storytelling, audio drama, comic making, and recording workshops with the three schools, the fifteen environmental stories prepared by 60 students from Piana Rotaliana (Trento) are now in the hands of our artists and technicians. In a couple of months, the stories will be transformed into a full-fledged environmental podcast and comic book! The launch is scheduled for early March!
