Happy New Year 2024
Welcome 2024
Hello members. I hope this message finds you well. As we step into the new year, I want to take a moment to express my sincerest wishes for a fantastic year ahead. I trust you had a wonderful break and may the coming months bring you happiness and countless reasons to smile. Of course, being a member of the Older Adults 60+ is a great start.

Who among us has bravely committed to a list of New Year's resolutions this year? More importantly, how many are still holding strong this first week of January! If your list included social engagement, mental stimulation, access to health and wellness programs, to be with a supportive community and to have opportunities for recreation and learning, you have come to the right place.

NEW time change to new yoga class
"Monday Yoga Class with Diane Corkum. Monday January 15 2024, start at 1pm, Coronation Room"
NEW Monday yoga class time change

We introduced a new yoga class in January on a Monday morning at 8:45am but registration was low. Could it be because it was an early morning class? Who knows. Fear not! All is not lost; we've shifted gears to a more civilized hour of 1:00pm.

To accommodate this new time change of class we are welcoming a new instructor. We are thrilled to announce our newest addition to the team! Please welcome Diane Corkum, bringing a wealth of 20 years of yoga teaching experience. We're eagerly anticipating the wisdom, expertise and positive energy she'll infuse into our classes. Join us every Monday at 1:00pm for a rejuvenating and enriching yoga experience.

Monday Jan 15 to Feb 26 - 6 weeks

Mexican Train. It's time to shuffle, strategize and unleash the domino magic. Thursdays at 1 pm. Older Adults Program. $1.50 drop in fee"
Time to throw a spotlight on a program that's been hanging out in the shadows like it's part of a secret society. It's here, it's awesome and now we hope it's about to be the talk of the town.

Calling all game enthusiasts! Join the fun in our Mexican Train Dominoes sessions held every Thursday at 1:00pm. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, come roll the dice, strategize and enjoy some friendly competition. I can speak from experience on just how much fun this game really is, and I think it's time to share the fun! Give it a try - you might find it as surprisingly enjoyable as I do.

How do I play?
Each participant can play their train of dominoes from the center or on the group's common line, called The Mexican Train. The goal is to be the first player to play all of one's tiles. Unexpected twists during game play will start and block the trains, making the game exciting and fun! Mexican train brings together just the right mix of simplicity and intrigue to any get-together. Everyone can learn in just minutes!
