I am writing today to let you know about several events happening next week. The team and I have been out in the community, distributing flyers and talking to residents about what we have planned for January. However, our team is small and the 30th Ward is large. We want to make sure everyone knows about the upcoming events - so share with your neighbors, share with your friends, and as always, call our office if you have any questions.

Tax Appeal Workshops

Jefferson Township is accepting property tax appeals until January 16th. The 30th Ward will be part of two workshops next week to help you navigate the process of filing an appeal. If you are attending one of these events please make sure to bring your property tax bill or property index number and a your ID.

Holiday Tree Recycling

Can’t make it to one of the Chicago Park District tree recycling locations? The 30th Ward Tree-Cyclers will come to you! Pick up day is January 13 and the deadline to sign up is January 11th.

Shared Cost Sidewalk Program

Applications open January 8th at 6am for this very popular program. You can apply online, by calling 311, using the 311 app, or come to our office. We will be open at 6am to assist you.

Youth Committee

The 30th Ward is accepting applications for our Youth Committee. We want to hear from our Youth in the ward what YOU want to see in the ward. Applications are being accepted until February 29th.

CAPS Schedule

See below for the CAPS schedule for early 2024. You can look up your beat by clicking on the flyer. We will add additional dates as we receive them.

Bingo

Our first bingo event is later this month - put it on your calendar and stay tuned for the location announcement.

30th Ward Snow Removal

Senior citizens and folks who are disabled can call our office for assistance with snow removal.
