Monsieur Gerbais has just released a new series of non-vintage bottlings that are indeed based on single vineyard parcels and single varietals, for which he started for each cuvée dedicated soleras of perpetual reserve wines, with the earliest created as far back as 2011 in anticipation of launching these new single vineyard bottlings. While I was in Beaune in December I had a chance to taste the entire range of these new wines and they were exceptional in quality across the board...There are currently four distinct single vineyard bottlings in his lineup: Champ Viole (made from one hundred percent chardonnay), La Loge (made from pinot blanc), Bochot (made from pinot meunier) and les Grandes Côtes (made from pinot noir).
